During the current parliamentary session, a total of 13 calls for order were issued by the Bundestag until the summer recess on July 11, 2025, according to information released by the Bundestag administration in response to an inquiry from the “Rheinische Post.
The majority of these calls for order-twelve-were directed towards members of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, while one was addressed to a member of the Left party (Die Linke).
Specific instances detailed in the report show that AfD parliamentarians twice referred to speakers as “left-wing extremists” and on three occasions accused other parties in the Bundestag of forming a “cartel.
Martin Reichardt, an AfD member, received the highest number of such calls-three in total. These included instances such as interjections stating “You are a traitor to the fatherland” and a derogatory remark referring to a Green party speaker as a “chatterbox.
A call for order was issued to Luigi Pantisano (Left party) by Bundestag President Julia Klöckner (CDU) after he accused Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt (CSU) of lying during his speech.
