2.. Bundesliga First Win!

Dynamo Dresden secured their first victory of the 2. Bundesliga season with a hard-fought 2-1 away win against fellow promoted side Arminia Bielefeld. The match, concluding the third matchday, saw Niklas Hauptmann open the scoring in the 21st minute with a low strike. Dresden, who have shown attacking promise in previous games despite defensive vulnerabilities, appeared more solid in the first half.

Bielefeld responded after the break, leveling the score in the 57th minute through Joel Grodowski, assisted by Lannert. The equalizer briefly unsettled Dresden, but they quickly regained composure. A significant turning point occurred in the 74th minute when Christopher Lannert received a red card for a potential denial of a goal-scoring opportunity, leaving Bielefeld a man down. Dresden subsequently had a goal disallowed for offside, before Luca Herrmann secured the win in the 11th minute of stoppage time with a spectacular overhead kick.

The victory moves Dynamo Dresden up to tenth place in the standings, while Arminia Bielefeld drops to fourth following their first defeat of the season. Bielefeld will travel to Braunschweig next Saturday, while Dresden hosts Schalke the following Sunday.

Elsewhere in the 2. Bundesliga on Sunday, SV Darmstadt 98 and Hertha BSC played to a 0-0 draw and Holstein Kiel defeated SpVgg Greuther Fürth 2-0.
