Preußen Münster secured their first victory of the 2. Bundesliga season with a 2-1 win over 1. FC Nürnberg, while SV Elversberg clinched a late 2-1 triumph against 1. FC Kaiserslautern during the third matchday.

The match in Münster unfolded as a game of two halves. The hosts capitalized effectively on their opportunities in the first period, with Oliver Batista-Meier opening the scoring in the 32nd minute, followed by Marvin Schulz extending their lead to 2-0 just before halftime. Nürnberg pressed for a goal in the second half and managed to pull one back in the 74th minute through Rafael Lubach. Despite numerous further opportunities, the Franconians were unable to secure a point.

Elversberg’s victory was decided in the dying moments of the game. The home side took the lead shortly before the break thanks to a goal from Luca Schnellbacher in the 43rd minute. Following a closely contested second half, Richmond Tachie leveled the score for Kaiserslautern with a penalty in the 79th minute. However, in the second minute of stoppage time, Frederik Schmahl secured the win for the Saarland-based club.
