250 Leading Women Unveil Ten‑Point Digital Violence Plan, Demanding Deepfake Ban, Rapid Deletion, and “Yes Means Yes” Reform to Protect Women⚡

A coalition of 250 influential women has unveiled a ten‑point plan aimed at shielding women from male violence, a story reported by the “Spiegel” and directed at the German federal government.

Among the signatories are SPD chairwoman and Minister of Labour Bärbel Bas, Green Party chair Franziska Brantner, comedian and TV host Carolin Kebekus, actress Veronica Ferres, singer Nina Chuba, and climate activist Luisa Neubauer.

Key demands of the pact include:

” Criminalising the creation of non‑consensual, sexualised deepfakes-an activity that is currently only punishable when the content is shared.
” Enacting a digital violence‑protection law that guarantees swift removal of offending material and clear accountability for perpetrators.
” Banning “nudify” applications that use AI to remove clothing from individuals in photographs.

The women also call for a legal overhaul to enshrine the “yes means yes” principle in sexual‑crime statutes, making any sexual act performed without explicit consent unlawful. Additionally, they urge the introduction of a “femicide” offence in the criminal code.
