Support for a reorganization remains lowest among voters of the Social Democratic Party (SPD), where only 22 percent are in favor and 71 percent are opposed. Among voters of the Christian Democratic Union/Christian Social Union (CDU/CSU), the view is slightly more favorable: 38 percent are for a merger compared with 58 percent against.
