On the 20th matchday of the 2. Bundesliga, 1. FC Nürnberg had to settle for a 1:1 draw with Preußen Münster, while Hannover 96 celebrated a 2:1 away victory over 1. FC Magdeburg.
In Magdeburg, the visitors opened the scoring. In the 38th minute, Daisuke Yokota slipped a low shot from close range past the keeper, giving Hannover an early 1:0 lead. After the break, the Magdeburg side came out with renewed determination. In the 53rd minute, Baris Atik turned the ball in from about 20 m, placing it into the right corner after a build‑up by Dariusz Stalmach. Just three minutes later, Enzo Leopold restored the visitors’ advantage: after a tandem pass with Elias Saad, he curled a flat shot from 16 m into the net. Despite further opportunities, Nürnberg could not find another goal. In the 63rd minute, Preußen Münster responded. After regaining possession, Jorrit Hendrix threaded a double pass with Mikkel Kirkeskov, and the 11‑metre shot finished in the upper corner, leveling the score at 1:1. In the final minutes, both teams generated chances but failed to convert, leaving the match on a 1:1 draw.
