In Kuwait, several U.S. combat aircraft appear to have crashed. The Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense said on Monday that the crews were “unharmed” and were taken to hospitals for health checks. The exact number of jets involved and the causes of the crashes were initially unclear.
The ministry added that it was coordinating with its U.S. ally on the “circumstances of the incident” and that investigations into the causes were continuing. Earlier, videos surfaced online showing a jet crash in Kuwait, with the pilot gliding to the ground on a parachute. CNN reported that the footage was taken near Al Jahra in Kuwait.
