Clueso has made a third week at the top of the German album charts with the first part of his double‑album, “Deja Vu 1/2”. The German chart company GfK announced on Friday that the record sits number one. It’s joined in the top five by Gorillaz – who occupy second place with “The Mountain”, Bruno Mars at number three with “The Romantic”, and the Korean girl‑group Blackpink at number four with “Deadline”. At number five the German metal band Sodom shows a strong re‑entry with “Get What You Deserve”, and rapper Souly rounds out the first seven with “Bossbaby Tape” at number seven.
In the single charts, Taylor Swift’s “Opalite” has slid back to number 13 after a week. It’s now been replaced at the top by Zara Larsson’s “Lush Life”, which finally topped the chart after a long waiting period. The track first entered the charts in late 2015, spent many weeks inside the Top 10, then disappeared from the charts for nine years. A TikTok video brought it back into public awareness, and it is now ahead of Swift’s “The Fate Of Ophelia” and Rayes’s “Where Is My Husband!”. For Larsson, this is the second number‑one hit, the first being “This One’s For You” with David Guetta.
Other highlights include Alex Warren, whose “Fever Dream” sits at number five just before his worldwide smash “Ordinary” at number six. German Eurovision hopeful Sarah Engels made her chart debut at number 75 with “Fire”. For comparison, last year’s representatives Abor & Tynna’s “Baller” entered the charts at number 13 after the national pre‑selection, while 2024 participant Isaak’s “Always on the Run” only appeared in the charts after the Eurovision final in May, debuting at number 22.
The official German charts are compiled by GfK Entertainment on behalf of the German Music Industry Association (Bundesverband Musikindustrie) and are said to cover 90 percent of all music sales.
