In the case of the violent death of eight‑year‑old Fabian from Güstrow, prosecutors have filed charges against the suspect. Police and the district attorney announced on Monday that the woman, who has been held in pre‑trial detention since November, is accused of “treacherous murder”.
According to the results of the investigation, the Rostock prosecution alleges that on the morning of 10 October 2025 the accused was at Fabian’s home and lured the boy-whom she knew well-under some pretext. She then drove him in her vehicle to a field near Klein Upahl, where they walked to a concealed pond. There, the accused allegedly killed the boy with at least six knife stabs to his torso, a crime she alone planned and carried out. To destroy evidence, she is said to have set the body on fire with a fire‑accelerant at a later time.
Despite the indictment, the presumption of innocence still applies.
