Kuban recalled Merz’s latest visit to Washington, where Trump thanked him, expressed satisfaction with the support Germany would provide, and noted that the two were on the right track. He said Germany has since backed the Americans and supplied military bases. Kuban stressed that one cannot say one thing today and demand another tomorrow, reminding listeners of the agreements already reached. He added that everyone should stick to those commitments, because anything else only fuels anti‑American sentiment and supports Putin’s allies in Germany.
