LinkedIn Issues “Friendliness Warnings” to Curb AI‑Generated Posts, Urges a Return to Real Human Voice

LinkedIn’s chief executive, Ryan Roslansky, cautioned about the dangers of AI‑generated content on social networks. “If you simply hit a button and let the AI write LinkedIn posts all day, it’s not productive for anyone” he told the “Handelsblatt” (Wednesday edition).

To address this, LinkedIn plans to introduce “friendliness warnings”. An assistant will notify users when a post clearly appears to be AI‑written. While the algorithm itself won’t punish those who overlook the warning, Roslansky says the community will. “AI‑generated junk that receives no comments or likes simply won’t reach many people” he added.

The manager highlighted how the workplace is rapidly transforming in the AI age. “Human skills are becoming more important, not less” he said. Future professional success will hinge on communication, creativity, and curiosity. “If everyone can create an Excel spreadsheet with AI, what then sets you apart? Your voice and your personality-your humanity, if you choose to claim it”.
