According to a survey conducted by the Insa Institute, the AfD once again emerged as the strongest political force in Germany. In the Sunday Trend, which the polling institute compiles weekly for “Bild am Sonntag” the AfD managed to maintain its previous week’s standing of 26 percent. In contrast, the CDU/CSU experienced a one-percentage-point decline, falling to 25 percent.
The SPD also saw a drop of one point, landing at 13 percent. The Greens remained steady at 12 percent, and the Linke held at 11 percent. The Bündnis Sahra Wagenknecht (BSW) improved slightly to 4 percent (+1), while the FDP remained significantly below the five-percent threshold at 3 percent. Finally, all other parties combined saw a one-point increase, reaching 6 percent.
For “Bild” Insa surveyed 1,199 people between March 30 and April 2, 2026 (TOM), asking the question: “If the federal election were held next Sunday, how would you vote?”
