Apple announced on Monday the appointment of John Ternus as the new CEO, a position he will assume on September 1st. Tim Cook, the current CEO, will transition into the role of Executive Chairman. Apple’s executive leadership has seen substantial changes already, notably toward the end of 2025, when the head of AI, the director of corporate policy, and a prominent design lead left the company. These departures are part of ongoing restructuring within the corporation, and the recent shifts in leadership suggest that Apple is preparing for new strategic directions.
