U.S. President Donald Trump has announced new attacks against Iran and threatened to take over its oil and gas infrastructure. Writing on his personal platform on Thursday, Trump claimed that the U.S. would strike Iran extremely hard tonight. The American President asserted that Iran’s Navy, Air Force, radar systems, air defenses, and all other forms of defense, along with most of its offensive capabilities, would be removed. He further stated, “Sometime in the not too distant future, we will capture the island of Kharg and other important points of the oil infrastructure, taking total control of its oil and gas markets, similar to what we did with Venezuela.” Trump concluded by saying that this approach “worked excellently” for both Venezuela and the United States.
