Union and SPD Gain Ground in Latest Poll, AfD Remains Strongest Force

According to a recent survey conducted by the Insa Institute, the Union and the SPD have experienced a slight increase in voter support. The “Bild am Sonntag” reported that the Union has climbed to 22 percent, marking a one-point gain from the previous week. Similarly, the SPD has gained a point, reaching 13 percent. Combined, the two parties now hold 35 percent of the vote, though this remains ten percentage points lower than their joint result in the 2025 Bundestag election.

The AfD remains the strongest political force, holding 29 percent of the vote, which places them seven points ahead of the Union.

Meanwhile, The Greens have held steady at 14 percent, while The Left Party has lost one point, dropping to 10 percent. Both the FDP and the BSW remain stagnant at 3 percent each, meaning neither party is currently projected to enter the Bundestag. A combined total of 6 percent is allocated to other parties.

The Insa poll, known as the “Sunday trend,” surveyed 1,203 people between June 8th and June 12th, 2026.
