Siemens Energy Considers Industrial Unit Spin-Off to Unlock Shareholder Value

Siemens Energy is reportedly examining the possibility of spinning off its “Transformation of Industry” division. This move stems from an internal document which was reported by the German magazine “Manager-Magazin.” According to the report, the company’s strategists suggest that separating the unit could be advantageous for both the business itself and for the shareholders.

The division, which is overseen by French executive Anne-Laure de Chammard (44), employs approximately 17,000 people. Most recently, this business area generated a turnover of 5.7 billion euros. The sector focuses on the development and construction of various products, including compressors, steam turbines, and energy storage systems.

When approached for comment, the corporation stated that it routinely reviews its portfolio and assesses the optimal long-term structure of the business unit. However, they emphasized that “no decisions” have been made concerning this matter.
