Finch Reigns: Rapper Secures Top Spot on German Album Charts with New Release

Rapper Finch has reclaimed the top spot of the German album charts with his latest release, “Aussenseiter Spitzenreiter,” according to reports from GfK released Friday. The artist had reportedly predicted this success, stating in the song’s intro, “And the sixth album will be the fourth number one, remember the day,” which refers to the date of July 3, 2026.

In the shifting album rankings, Olivia Rodrigo, whose track “You Seem Pretty Sad For A Girl So In Love” formerly held the top position, drops to number five. Meanwhile, the Hanoverian group Fury in the Slaughterhouse enters the charts at number two with “Changes,” which concludes their comeback trilogy. The band, who will be celebrating their 40th album anniversary next year, made a strong debut. Muse also entered the top rankings at number three with “The Wow! Signal,” while Metallica returned to the charts at number four with “Reload.”

The momentum in the single charts continues to build, particularly driven by the World Cup. The official tournament song, “Dai Dai,” now holds the number one spot for the first time, securing Shakira her fifth number-one hit. The collaboration with Burna Boy pushed the viral track “Gut genug” by Kitschkrieg, Blumengarten & Shirin David to the second position.

In other notable single chart movements, Summer Cem & Billa Joe maintained their bronze placement with “Killy Manjaro” from the previous week. Conversely, Peter Schilling’s anthem “Major Tom (Völlig losgelöst)” saw a significant drop, falling from number 56 to 79. However, Shakira’s “Waka Waka (This Time For Africa)” (featuring Freshlyground) remained consistent at number 39. Among the highest new entries, the HipHop tracks “Sprite” (Bonez MC, Gzuz & Jugglerz) and “Lovesick” (6PM Records & Sosa La M) both broke into the Top 20.

The official German charts are determined by GfK Entertainment on behalf of the German Music Industry Association (BVMI). These charts cover 90% of all music sales and are based on sales and usage data from approximately 2,600 retailers across all purchasing channels, including physical stores, e-commerce providers, download portals, and streaming platforms.
