Police are searching for a suspect following gunfire at a Turkish café in Cologne’s Südstadt district. Authorities confirmed they are looking for a bald shooter, approximately 1.80 meters tall. The suspect was reportedly wearing athletic shoes, black trousers, and a grey hooded jacket at the time of the incident.
Residents heard shots around 7:40 AM on Monday and observed the man fleeing the crime scene on Bonner Straße towards Zugweg. No one was injured, as the café was empty when the shooting occurred. Police immediately secured a wide area around the location to conduct forensic investigation. Initial findings indicate that four projectiles broke the café’s window facade.
Criminal police have launched an investigation and are currently examining potential connections to previous shootings.
