A large-scale recall affecting steering components within the Volkswagen Group now includes its subsidiaries Skoda and Seat, according to the Handelsblatt. The reported recall mandates that over one million Skoda vehicles worldwide go into service centers, and around 200,000 Seat cars are also affected. Previously, it was known that 2.16 million Volkswagen vehicles and approximately 700,000 Audi vehicles were impacted. Combined, the recall covers around four million vehicles across the entire group, making it the largest recall action undertaken by the Volkswagen Group since the diesel scandal. VW stated that, to date, no personal injuries or further property damage incidents have occurred, indicating that the action to replace the screw is precautionary.
