Germany lost 0-1 to Greece on the second matchday of the UEFA Nations League. This match marked the home debut of national team coach Jürgen Klopp.
The goal for Greece came in the 74th minute, scored by Dimitrios Kourbelis. His teammate, Christos Tzolis, utilized a long pass from the right side to the left. Tzolis made a run against German defender Josha Vagnoman into the opponent’s box, passing the ball back into the area for Kourbelis. Kourbelis poked the ball past German midfielder Felix Nmecha and then struck it with his left foot towards the goal. The shot was subsequently deflected-albeit unintentionally-by German midfielder Joshua Kimmich, allowing the ball to find its way into the bottom left corner and being uncatchable by German goalkeeper Alexander Nübel.
