Greens parliamentary budget committee member and deputy faction leader Andreas Audretsch accused CDU politician Jens Spahn of being completely disconnected from the general sentiment in the country. Audretsch, who serves as a deputy member of the Bundestag’s Budget Committee, told Funke Media that both the CDU and Spahn himself had spent months advocating for the idea that people in the country were not working enough and needed to be monitored more closely.
Audretsch pointed out that Spahn had spoken about “bedside decisions,” yet at the same time, he was in Sardinia instead of being in the committee. According to Audretsch, this reveals a deep discrepancy between the political principles they advocate for and their own actions, suggesting a total lack of sense of decency and a complete disconnect from what the nation is feeling.
