Germany secured a 2-0 victory over Serbia during the third matchday of the UEFA Nations League.
Tom Bischof opened the scoring in the 39th minute. Florian Wirtz, a midfielder for Germany, successfully drove past opponents in tight spaces within the opposition’s penalty area. He then chipped the ball approximately eight meters toward the left post. The ball rebounded into the five-yard box, where Bischof finished the play, netting the goal from a close range.
Wirtz extended the lead in the 61st minute. Maximillian Mittelstädt utilized the space on the left flank, advancing up to the opposition’s penalty area to provide the pass to his teammate. Wirtz bypassed Serbian defender Srdjan Babic with the first touch and then powerfully shot from roughly 13 meters, placing it flat into the right corner to seal the 2-0 scoreline.
