In currency markets, the Euro was weaker Thursday evening; one Euro cost $1.1246, meaning that the Dollar was trading at 0.8892 Euros. Commodity prices moved strongly, with the price of gold improving. For a fine ounce, gold was purchased at $4,179 in the evening, an increase of 0.5 percent, equating to €119.48 per gram. Meanwhile, the oil price saw a sharp increase. At approximately 102:00 CEST on Thursday evening, a barrel of North Sea Brent crude cost $102.50, which represented a 4.6 percent jump from the previous day’s closing price.
