Mercedes-Benz has reported a significant decline in profits for the second quarter of 2025. The company announced on Wednesday that its operating result for April to June decreased by approximately two-thirds, falling to €1.3 billion. Adjusted for one-off effects, the result was €2.0 billion, a notable drop from the €4.0 billion recorded during the same period last year.

The group’s revenue and consolidated earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) were impacted by the implementation of new tariffs. Furthermore, one-off effects amounting to €715 million negatively affected the overall result.

In response to these factors, the automotive manufacturer has revised its outlook. The company now anticipates group revenue to be considerably below the levels seen in the previous year. This adjustment is attributed to an expected reduction in sales volume for both Mercedes-Benz Cars and Mercedes-Benz Vans.

The anticipated sales of Mercedes-Benz Cars are now projected to be significantly lower than those observed in 2024. The company expects sales volume to stabilize in the second half of the year, maintaining the level seen in the first six months. This stabilization is expected to continue with the third quarter sales slightly below those of the fourth quarter.
