Based on the latest polling by the Ipsos institute, the AfD is continuing to increase its lead over the Union. If a federal election were held this coming Sunday, the AfD would secure 28% of the votes, remaining the strongest political force. This represents the highest score the AfD has ever achieved according to Ipsos.
In contrast, the Union is losing ground, dropping one percentage point to 22%, which is its lowest standing since January 2022.
The Greens remain stable at 14%, while the SPD holds steady at 13%. Meanwhile, Die Linke has risen by one percentage point to 13%, now tying with the SPD in the Ipsos Sunday poll for the first time and achieving a new high for itself.
The FDP maintains its percentage at 4%, keeping it below the five-percent threshold. The BSW remains at 3%, and all other parties collectively account for 3%, a one-point decrease.
Ipsos conducted the survey among 1,000 eligible voters across Germany, weighting the results by age, gender, education, region, and previous voting behavior.
