AfD Eyeing Its Own Radio Station, Taking Cue From Austria First.

The AfD is studying the possibility of launching its own radio station in Germany. Party leaders are expected to receive a concept soon and will discuss it before deciding. As a model, the party cites the newly launched online station “Austria First” from the Austrian FPÖ.

In a statement to the Bild Sunday edition, a party spokesperson said that the AfD is following the FPÖ’s project with great interest, is in contact with the initiators, and is drafting similar concepts. The outcome remains uncertain at this time.

“Austria First” has been broadcasting since January 17. Its schedule mainly features music, news, and political commentary from FPÖ politicians.
