Jordania has been eliminated from the tournament after losing 2-1 to Algeria in the second matchday of Group J.
The match began with an early setback for Jordan when they conceded a goal in the 36th minute. The goal, scored by Nizar Al-Rashdan, resulted from a failed cross by Zerrouki and an unfortunate pass from Al-Taamari. However, Algeria managed to turn the tide in the second half, showing determined aggression after the break and pressing for an equalizer. The score leveled at 1-1 in the 69th minute when Riyad Mahrez delivered a corner kick into the box, which Nadhir Benbouali successfully headed in.
Algeria increased the pressure during the final minutes, ultimately securing the victory in the 82nd minute. Following another corner, Bensebaini crossed the ball toward Amine Gouiri, who scored from close range to make the final score 2-1.
Following this defeat, Jordan finds itself at the bottom of the group. Argentina leads the group as the clear frontrunner with six points, followed by Austria and Algeria, both having earned three points, while Jordan currently remains without a single point. On the final matchday, Jordan is scheduled to face Argentina on Sunday at 4 p.m. (German time), while Algeria will play Austria at the same time.
