Arminia Bielefeld and SC Paderborn settled the 26th round of the 2‑League in an East‑Westphalian encounter with a 2‑2 draw.
The game began with an early strike for the home side when Joel Grodowski headed the ball into the net in the 24th minute after a cross from Monju Momuluh. Paderborn fought back and equalised in the 53rd minute through Stefano Marino, who capitalised on a quick counter‑attack.
Just ten minutes later, Marino gave the guests the lead by converting a pass from Baur inside the penalty area. Arminia, however, did not relent; in the final minute a penalty by captain Maël Corboz sealed the comeback. He placed the kick to the left corner, while the Paderborner goalkeeper leapt in the opposite direction.
The match was characterised by intense duels and tactical rotations on both sides. Each team created chances to turn the game in their favour, but eventually the score remained a fair 2‑2. Arminia therefore stays in the relegation battle, while Paderborn loses valuable points in the promotion race.
Meanwhile, 1️⃣ FC Nürnberg defeated Holstein Kiel 3‑2, and Eintracht Braunschweig edged Fortuna Düsseldorf 1‑0.
