A training aircraft belonging to the Bangladesh Air Force crashed on Monday on the campus of a school in Dhaka, the country’s capital. Local media reports indicate at least 19 people have lost their lives and over 100 have sustained injuries as a result of the incident, with the potential for the fatality count to rise further.
The military has confirmed the occurrence. A statement released by the Air Force detailed that the F-7 BGI training aircraft experienced a crash in the Uttara area. The aircraft had taken off at 13:06 local time (07:06 GMT).
