Bayern Munich Poaches Marketing Chief from VfB Stuttgart

A significant leadership change is underway in German football, as Rouven Kasper, member of the VfB Stuttgart board for marketing and sales, will be transitioning to FC Bayern Munich from January 1, 2026. The decision follows approval from the supervisory board of VfB Stuttgart 1893 AG, confirmed in a statement released Monday.

Kasper joined the VfB Stuttgart board in January 2022 and has played a crucial role in restructuring the club’s approach to sponsorship, international expansion and marketing and sales initiatives. Prior to his time with VfB Stuttgart, the 43-year-old held the position of “President Asia” at FC Bayern Munich, a role he will now return to.

Dietmar Allgaier, chairman of the VfB Stuttgart supervisory board, stated that the decision to grant Kasper’s request was made in recognition of his substantial contributions to the club. Kasper himself emphasized the difficulty of the choice, expressing confidence in VfB’s future positioning. The move signals a shift in personnel for both clubs as they navigate evolving strategic priorities within the competitive landscape of German football.
