Bayern Munich Routs Gladbach 4‑1, Locks Top Spot with Dominant Display

The 25th round of the Bundesliga kicked off with FC Bayern Munich putting the hosts, Borussia Mönchengladbach, out of the game, ending 4‑1.

From the start Bayern displayed their usual dominance, but it was not until the 33rd minute that Luis Diaz broke the dead‑lock. A quick counter a minute later saw Konrad Laimer double the lead, putting the score to 2‑0 just before the break.

In the second half Jamal Musiala added a penalty in the 57th minute, making it 3‑0. Nicolas Jackson rewarded a hard‑working performance by drilling a sharp pass from Karl into the net on the 79th minute, raising the tally to 4‑0. In the final minute of regular time, substitute Wael Mohya scored a deserved goal, making the final score 4‑1. Bayern were already in control and had, to put it politely, wasted a chance.

The match was dominated by Bayern’s flair: they controlled 65 % of the ball and dictated the tempo. Gladbach struggled to counter the pressing, and from the 55th minute on they played a man down after Rocco Reitz received a straight red card.

In the standings Bayern remain comfortably at the top, keeping a 14‑point cushion over second‑place Borussia Dortmund. Mönchengladbach are now in 12th place, just three points clear of the relegation zone.
