Blümchen’s Secret Festival Ritual Revealed

Singer Jasmin Wagner, known as “Blümchen” maintains a distinct separation between her professional music career and personal life, a practice she consciously observes at annual music festivals. Wagner consistently attends these events with friends to enjoy the performances but deliberately avoids performing herself.

Speaking to the Rheinische Post, Wagner explained this as a personal rule to reconnect with her life prior to motherhood, following her decision to conclude her career as “Blümchen” in November.

While expressing her enjoyment of performing on stage, Wagner finds value in taking a step back. “It’s a good change to step out of your comfort zone, sleep in a tent, be outdoors all day and connect with other festival-goers. It’s wonderful, it’s just the best feeling of life” she stated.

“Blümchen” is scheduled to perform at the “Parookaville” festival in Weeze in mid-July. Wagner rose to prominence in the 1990s at the age of 15 with hits like “Kleiner Satellit” and “Herz an Herz”. She initially ended the “Blümchen” project in 2001, before relaunching her career under the same moniker in 2019.

However, Wagner has announced that this will be her final chapter. Reflecting on her career, she shared, “I thought at the beginning of the year, wow, I have a 30-year stage anniversary, I’m turning 45, those are big numbers. I have experienced everything I wanted to experience in this second phase as Blümchen”.
