BSW party leader Amira Mohamed Ali has characterized the AfD’s immediate 100-day program in Saxony-Anhalt as “kneeling before the CDU.” Speaking to the “Rheinische Post”, she noted that the AfD plan deliberately excludes areas such as social policy, education, economic, and energy policy. She argued that this points to an attempt by the AfD to govern alongside the CDU.
Ali stressed that Saxony-Anhalt requires “real change,” rather than merely continuing the CDU’s policies while adding some “AfD folklore.”
The BSW consistently affirms that it does not aim for a coalition with the AfD, although it simultaneously rejects the concept of an absolute ‘firewall.’ Meanwhile, the Wagenknecht party is striving to gain representation in the State Parliament of Saxony-Anhalt.
