Three days before the state election in Baden Württemberg, a poll for the ZDF ”Politbarometer” shows the CDU tied with the Greens. According to the figures released Thursday evening, both parties are expected to receive 28 % of the vote, while the AfD is projected at 18 %. The SPD is at 8 %, the FDP and the Left each at 5.5 %, and all other smaller parties together account for 7 %.
Compared with the “Politbarometer” poll from the previous week, the CDU gained one point, the Greens jumped three points, and the AfD lost one point. Just a few weeks earlier, the Christdemocrats had been leading in every survey.
The “Politbarometer” has long been regarded as one of the most accurate polling institutes, offering the smallest gap between pre‑election forecasts and the final results.
