Thomas Bareiß, an elected member of the CDU in the German Bundestag, was seriously injured in a traffic accident in Baden-Württemberg. The incident occurred on the B27 near Hechingen in the Zollernalbkreis, as reported by the “Schwäbische Zeitung” on Sunday.
According to reports, Bareiß was among the individuals transported by rescue helicopter to a clinic. He reportedly underwent emergency surgery and is currently in “serious condition,” the newspaper stated, citing secured information.

Between 2018 and 2021, he served as Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister for Economics and Energy, as well as the Federal Government Commissioner for Tourism.
