The Federal Court of Justice (BGH) confirmed the order for house arrest against Lina E. Friday, after she refused to give testimony before the Dresden Higher Regional Court. Lina E. was previously convicted for her involvement with a left-extremist association.
The Dresden Higher Regional Court is currently conducting proceedings against several defendants accused of membership in a criminal association. Lina E. initially refused to testify, citing a comprehensive right to withhold information. However, the court did not recognize this right, given that she had already been conclusively found guilty.
The Federal Court of Justice rejected Lina E.’s appeal against the house arrest. This decision is now final. The house arrest measure was imposed to compel her testimony and continues to be in effect.
