CSU Falls 1.9 Percentage Points in Bavarian Local Polls; AfD Gains 7.5 Points to 12.2%

In the recent Bavarian municipal elections the CSU remains the most voted party, but its share fell to 32.5 % across districts and independent cities-down 1.9 percentage points from the results five years earlier. The Greens come in second with 13.6 %, yet they also experienced a 3.9‑point decline. The AfD achieved the largest gains, rising to 12.2 % (+7.5 points). In close pursuit, the SPD secured 12.3 % (-1.4 points), while the Free Voters were slightly ahead at 12.1 % (+0.2 points).
