Deutsche Post DHL Group is poised to resume full package shipping services to the United States, following a temporary suspension implemented earlier this year. According to Nikola Hagleitner, a member of the Deutsche Post DHL Group’s Management Board, the company anticipates a return to normal operations within the coming weeks.
The suspension, which began on August 22nd, targeted shipments from business customers and private individuals sending parcels with a value exceeding $100 to the U.S. This action was taken due to a lack of clarity surrounding tariffs imposed by the U.S. government. Hagleitner clarified that the service was not discontinued due to an inability to ship, but rather a deficiency in procedural details and specifications.
Recent developments have provided greater insight and information from U.S. authorities, leading to the imminent resumption of services. Hagleitner expressed a confident perspective on the evolving trade landscape, emphasizing the importance of global commerce and globalization to the company’s operations. She suggested that while trade restrictions can present challenges, they also frequently create alternative opportunities and pathways for business expansion. The company remains committed to adapting to shifting conditions within the international trade environment.
