Alex Warren continues his reign atop the official German album charts, claiming the number one spot for an unprecedented eighth consecutive week. The announcement, released Friday by GfK, confirms Warren’s position as the most frequent chart-topper of 2025 thus far. “Golden” from the “KPop Demon Hunters” soundtrack and Zartmann’s “Tau mich auf” secure the second and third place rankings, respectively.
Elsewhere in the charts, Amigos achieve their 17th number one album with “Lebe jetzt”. Bonez MC and LX follow closely in second place with “Dumm aber doppelt”. Rounding out the top five are the “KPop Demon Hunters” soundtrack (third), Tyler, The Creator’s “Don’t Tap The Glass” (fourth) and Joe Bonamassa’s “Breakthrough” (fifth).
A poignant return to the charts marks the posthumous resurgence of Ozzy Osbourne, who passed away on Tuesday. Black Sabbath’s iconic 1970s hit, “Paranoid” re-enters the listings at number 70, while the associated album achieves a remarkable re-entry at position 29. Streaming activity for all Ozzy Osbourne titles witnessed a staggering 982% increase between July 20th-21st and July 22nd-23rd, with Black Sabbath streams experiencing a significant 738% boost during the same period.
The official German charts are compiled by GfK Entertainment on behalf of the Bundesverband Musikindustrie (BMI) and represent approximately 90% of all music sales.
