Elon Musk Orders Tesla Staff to Study Customer Complaints

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has called on his employees to prioritize customer concerns amid ongoing sales challenges. In an email sent to the company’s “everybody” distribution list Thursday evening and reported by the Handelsblatt, Musk urged staff to “get involved and fix these problems.

The email included a link to a post on Musk’s social media platform, X, where he directly solicited feedback from customers. He requested that followers detail any difficulties encountered during the Tesla purchasing process. Musk stated Tesla’s aim is to streamline the buying and delivery process, promising to provide “as precise answers as possible” to customer queries.

The CEO underscored the importance of customer satisfaction, suggesting that a key indicator of success is whether Tesla owners would recommend the brand to friends.

Tesla has been grappling with declining sales figures in recent months. Globally, the electric vehicle manufacturer saw vehicle deliveries decrease by 13% in the first half of the year, putting the company on track for a second consecutive annual decline.
