The so-called National Security Council met by telephone on Friday, chaired by the Federal Chancellor, according to government spokesperson Stefan Kornelius. The council discussed the incident that occurred at Leipzig/Halle Airport on August 4th. This meeting follows the discovery of a drone armed with explosives at the airport during the night leading up to Wednesday. Regarding the situation, it was reported that the Federal Chancellor remains in continuous exchange with Federal Minister Dobrindt and other members of the federal government.
