The Hanseatic Higher Regional Court has handed down sentences, ranging from prison terms to probation, in the trial against seven members and one supporter of the far-right terrorist group “Last Defense Wave.” According to the judgment announced on Wednesday, the court ruled on the seven defendants with prison sentences spanning from two years and four months up to five years. For the one other defendant, a suspended sentence of one and a half years was issued. The Federal Prosecutor’s Office had charged the young men with membership in and support for a terrorist organization, as well as attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and dangerous bodily harm. The youngest defendant involved in these crimes was just 14 years old.
