After 1. FC Köln fell to the relegation zone in the Bundesliga, the club has reportedly severed ties with head coach Lukas Kwasniok, effective immediately. The move was confirmed Sunday evening by both “Kicker” and “Bild”. Kwasniok had already been a likely departure after only two victories in the last five months. The club also settled for a 3‑3 draw against Borussia Mönchengladbach on Saturday, and their position in the standings has slipped to 16th.
