Veronica Ferres and Carsten Maschmeyer have separated. Christian Schertz, their lawyer, announced the news on Tuesday, stating that his clients had decided some time ago, and amicably, to move forward on separate paths.
Both Ferres and Maschmeyer released a joint statement regarding the split. They explained, “Our respective careers-as an actress and producer on one hand, and an investor on the other-require significant time and demand our presence in many locations around the world, far away from home. Over time, our love evolved into a deep, trusting friendship. We look back on our shared journey with great gratitude and will remain closely connected in the future. Our family’s well-being is our top priority. We remain wholeheartedly present for our respective stepchildren and our entire family.”
Lawyer Schertz requested that the privacy of the parties and their families be respected, confirming that no further comments would be made and urging the press to refrain from further inquiries.
