Five Female Singers Hold the Top Five of German Singles Charts – Ayliva’s “Renn” Reigns as New 1 After Four‑Month Gap

For the first time in four months, neither Taylor Swift nor a Christmas song tops the official German singles chart.
GfK Entertainment announced on Friday that instead Ayliva has returned from a brief creative break and has surged past all other acts. The singer celebrates her fifth chart‑topping single with the emotive track “Renn”, following earlier No. 1 hits “Sie weiß” (with Mero), “Hässlich”, “Lieb mich” and “Wunder” (with Apache 207).

Female artists occupy the entire top five, led by Taylor Swift with “The Fate of Ophelia” (No. 2), Zara Larsson’s “Lush Life” (No. 3), Raye’s “Where Is My Husband!” (No. 4) and HUNTR/X’s “Golden” (No. 5).

A notable newcomer makes its entry at No. 87: Bruce Springsteen’s protest‑song “Streets of Minneapolis”-a nod to his worldwide hit “Streets of Philadelphia”.

A string of carnival anthems is climbing the charts, from DJ Ötzi’s “Tirol” at No. 12, GroßstadtEngel’s “Gute Laune” at No. 24, Druckluft’s “Karnevalsmaus” at No. 35, Breitner’s “Baby Bell” at No. 45, to Mätropolis & DJ Aaron’s “Rakete” at No. 61.

In the album rankings, the Toten Hosen secure a decisive victory over Böhsen Onkelz. Their 30‑year anniversary box set of the cult album “Opium für das Volk” claims the top spot, while the 40‑year anniversary edition of the “Mexico” EP climbs to second place.

The top ten also features a mix of indie, pop, metal and rap acts: Kaffkiez’s “Wir” sits at No. 3, Only The Poets’ “And I’d Do It Again” at No. 6, the soundtrack for season 5 of the hit series “Stranger Things” at No. 4, Ufo361’s “Beware” at No. 5, Don Toliver’s “Octane” at No. 10, and the dinosaur‑metal group Heavysaurus with “Metal” at No. 9.

The official German charts are compiled by GfK Entertainment on behalf of the German Music Industry Association (BVMI) and are intended to cover 90 % of all music sales. The rankings are based on sales and usage data from roughly 2,600 retailers and outlets across all distribution channels.
