Green Party leader Franziska Brantner confirmed that she will not take a ministerial post in Cem Özdemir’s new Baden‑Württemberg cabinet.
Speaking to RTL and NTV, Brantner said she grew up in Heidelberg and loves both the state and the entire Federal Republic. “I will now do everything I can to bring that momentum to the federal level” she added, emphasizing that her priority is now the national coalition.
When asked if she could entirely rule out a ministerial role in Baden‑Württemberg, she reiterated that she will remain in Berlin and focus on ensuring the same dynamism carries over to the federal government, where she aims to help Germany grow stronger.
