Fuel prices across Germany continue to vary significantly by region, with the Saarland emerging as the most affordable state for drivers for the second consecutive month, July. According to data released by the ADAC on Tuesday, the disparity is substantial, particularly for diesel and Super E10 gasoline.

The Saarland currently boasts an average price of €1.607 per liter for Super E10. In contrast, Berlin, positioned as the second most affordable state, sees an average of €1.628 per liter – a difference of 2.1 cents. At the other end of the spectrum, Sachsen-Anhalt registers a price of €1.706 per liter, a difference of 9.9 cents.

The Saarland’s advantageous position extends to diesel as well. Drivers in the state pay an average of €1.565 per liter. Neighboring Rhineland-Palatinate averages €1.586 per liter, a 2.1-cent increase. Brandenburg occupies the bottom ranking for diesel, with an average price of €1.643 per liter – 7.8 cents more than the Saarland’s rate.
