This plan comes from an invitation recently cited by the news magazine Politico. The agenda for the meeting includes discussions regarding the necessary frameworks for maintaining industrial competitiveness, ensuring economic sovereignty, and advancing key technologies. This specific item is labeled in the program as “Putting Germany on the Right Track.”
The meeting is scheduled to take place on August 25th and 26th at Neuhardenberg Castle in Brandenburg. Notable guests invited to attend include Roland Busch, CEO of Siemens, and Aidan Gomez, the CEO of Cohere. Cohere, the Canadian AI startup, recently acquired Aleph Alpha in Heidelberg, a company that had long been considered Germany’s prominent AI prospect. Additionally, Jörg Dittrich, the President of the Craftsmen’ Chamber, is expected to give an introductory lecture during the cabinet session.
According to the agenda, several technological innovations will be presented during the event. For instance, a “flight demonstration of the latest interceptor drone” from the Munich-based manufacturer Tytan Technologies is planned. Furthermore, the Federal Criminal Police Office will present examples of how it utilizes artificial intelligence and new technologies in its operations. Customs will also showcase a new application designed for digital identity verification.
