During a cabinet meeting held Tuesday at Villa Borsig near Berlin, Federal Minister for Digital and Transport, Patrick Schnieder (CDU), experienced a sudden episode of circulatory weakness. According to attendees, the minister briefly collapsed at the conference table but quickly recovered. As a precautionary measure, he was subsequently transported to a local hospital.
Schnieder was noticeably absent from a group photograph taken in the park during the afternoon session. The cabinet retreat, focused on discussions surrounding Germany’s competitiveness and digitalization, is scheduled to continue through Wednesday at the Foreign Office training facility located at Tegeler See, near Berlin. Details regarding his condition and expected return to official duties have not been released.
