German Party Seeks IDF Help to Bring Injured Gaza Children to Germany

A German parliamentary deputy is advocating for the facilitation of the transfer of injured children from the Gaza Strip to Germany for medical treatment. Siemtje Möller, a vice chair of the Social Democratic Party (SPD) parliamentary group, expressed support for an initiative originating from Hannover and Düsseldorf aimed at providing this humanitarian assistance.

Ms. Möller emphasized that the success of such a program hinges on the cooperation of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). Speaking to “Welt” news outlet, she stated her belief that the initiative represents a vital and significant gesture. She noted that other nations have already implemented similar measures and believes Germany should consider participation.

The deputy stressed the necessity of secure corridors for the transport of the children, highlighting that the IDF’s support would be essential to guarantee these safe routes. The intention is to enable the secure evacuation of critically ill and severely injured children to Germany, where they could receive treatment in established and experienced medical facilities.
